About - Martin Beecroft Photography

My name is Martin Beecroft and I am an amateur photographer from Liverpool, England. I have been taking photographs most of my life since playing with an old Box Brownie given to me as a toy by my grandmother. My main interest in my formative years was photographing ships rather than an interest in photography itself.

As an adult my interest in the art grew slowly, but, surely until in more recent years photography has become my principle interest. This culminated in me studying for a Diploma of Professional Photography with The Photography Institute of London where I graduated in June 2015. I am a member of The Royal Photographic Society

My photographic interests are varied with a special interest in photographing people and wildlife.

I now use mainly Fujifilm X Series cameras and lenses for my work.  As a mirrorless compact system the Fujifilm X series gives me ease of handling due to it's lighter, smaller  size, compared to DSLR's, without degrading the quality of the image.

I enjoy travelling and always ensure I have a camera with me on these trips.
